Personal Property taxes are assessed by the Commissioner of the Revenue for property owned on January 1st of the tax year.
Taxes are due on October 15th of the tax year
Decals are also renewed on October 15.
If you did not own the property on January 1st of the tax year, you should contact the Commissioner of the Revenue's office at (540) 980-7750.
Real Estate property is assessed by the Commissioner of the Revenue and taxes are collected by the Treasurer's office.
Taxes are due and payable in 2 installments. The first half of the total tax is due June 5th of each tax years. The second half is due and payable on December 5th of each tax year
Pulaski County dog owners are reminded that Pulaski County Dog tags need to be purchased by January 31 of the year it expires.
Tag amounts as follows:
1 YEAR TAG: MALE ---------- $10.00 3 YEAR TAG: MALE ---------- $27.00
FEMALE ------ $10.00 FEMALE ------ $27.00
UNSEXED ---- $ 6.00 UNSEXED ------ $15.00
Kennels: For kennels of 5 - 20 dogs ---- $50.00 For kennels of over 20 dogs --- $50.00 in addition to a $2.00 fee for each dog over the $50.00 block. ALL Kennels tags must be purchased in the Treasurer's Office.
The current rabies vaccination certificate is required in order to purchase the dog tags. To purchase a 3-YEAR TAG the certificate must be valid for three years.

The Treasurer collects estimated state income taxes for the state of Virginia. The first quarterly payment should be make at the Commissioner of the Revenue's office. Subsequent payments may be made in the Treasurer's office.
The prior year's income taxes (if still due) are paid in the same manner. The first payment is made at the Commissioner of the Revenue, then subsequent payments are made at the Treasurer's Office.
