Public Invited to Meeting about School Costs
On January 13th, the Board of Supervisors hosted a public meeting to discuss and listen to the public about the future of Pulaski County's two middle schools. The Board heard a wide range of opinions and they are currently studying and discussing various funding options. In an effort to review current and future school needs, the School Board commissioned a feasibility study completed by the architectural firm, OWPR, which studied renovating both middle schools compared to constructing a new combined middle school and also upgrades to Dublin Elementary School. The Board of Supervisors would like to continue to hear general comments from our citizens about the debt obligations needed to pay for school improvements and the corresponding tax requirements to meet this debt.
