INFORMATION REQUIRED FOR ZONING PERMIT

ARTICLE 8 CLAYTOR LAKE SURFACE DISTRICT

PULASKI COUNTY ZONING ORDINANCE

The following information is required to be presented for obtaining a zoning permit to allow construction with the Claytor Lake Surface District area regulated by Article 8 of the Pulaski County Zoning Ordinance for construction of future docks, repair of existing docks and replacement of existing docks.

1. Completed copy of the “County of Pulaski Building Permit Checklist”. This form is located on our website at pulaskicounty.org/departments/building/buildingpermitchecklist or the Community Development Department located at 143 Third Street, NW, Suite 1, Pulaski VA 24301.

2. Site plan indicating the existing structures and proposed improvements, including dimensions and setbacks of each. The site plan should be prepared on a copy of an existing survey plat of the property requesting the permit. Please detail the existing and/or proposed use of each structure.

3. Completed copy “American Electric Power Claytor Lake Application for Occupancy and Use”. This form is located on our website as listed above or the Community Development Department located at 143 Third Street, NW, Suite 1, Pulaski VA 24301.

4. You will submit the completed Permit Checklist/Site Plan/AEP Application to the Pulaski County Building Department at 143 Third Street, NW, Suite 1. There is a three (3) day review process for approval of the application. If a site visit is required the process may take longer.

5. There will be a charge for the permit based on construction cost.
